A Day in the Life The Endo Mechanical and Intelligent Devices (EMID) business provides a portfolio of advanced surgical technologies used across open and minimally invasive procedures, including stapling systems, ligation devices, access and hand instruments, powered stapling platforms, and intelligent surgical solutions. The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving adoption, utilization, and commercial performance of the EMID portfolio within assigned hospital and healthcare accounts across a designated territory. This role is based in Ahmedabad, India and supports accounts across parts of Ahmedabad. The position is field-based and requires regular customer engagement, operating theatre (OT) presence, and travel within the assigned territory to support clinical cases, product evaluations, customer education, and account development activities. The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for delivering sales growth across the assigned territory by partnering with surgeons, healthcare professionals, and hospital stakeholders. This role combines account management, clinical support, market development, and commercial execution to expand utilization of the EMID portfolio while building long-term customer relationships.
Primary Responsibilities
Achieve secondary sales targets and focus product objectives across the assigned territory through effective territory planning and execution. Develop and manage key hospital accounts, including account plans and growth strategies for priority customers. Support surgical procedures through regular operating theatre presence to facilitate product adoption, utilization, and clinical confidence. Conduct customer meetings, product demonstrations, evaluations, and educational discussions with surgeons and healthcare professionals. Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), clinical stakeholders, and hospital decision-makers to support portfolio growth. Monitor competitive activity, procedure trends, and market dynamics to identify business opportunities and support territory strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute approved marketing initiatives, Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities, and customer engagement programmes. Maintain accurate and timely reporting of sales activities, business updates, account information, and focus product trackers.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Science or Pharmacy and 4+ years of sales experience in medical devices, surgical products, healthcare technology, or related healthcare commercial roles. Demonstrated experience managing hospital accounts and achieving sales targets within an assigned territory. Experience supporting customer interactions within operating theatre environments and clinical settings. Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory. Proficiency in customer relationship management, business planning, and sales reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling surgical products, with exposure to surgical stapling technologies preferred. Experience promoting high-value capital equipment or advanced medical technologies within hospital environments. Experience working with surgeons, operating theatre staff, and healthcare administrators to drive product adoption. Knowledge of the Ahmedabad healthcare market, competitive landscape, and key healthcare institutions. Experience organizing product evaluations, clinical education programmes, or Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities.
