YOUR IMPACT
OpenText Professional Services Practice role focuses on working with our strategic customers and understanding their challenges, requirements and use cases around initiatives such as solution implementation using OpenText suite of products through services delivery.
We are seeking a Junior Consultant with strong technical fundamentals to join our Professional Services Practice. You will work under the guidance of senior consultants while developing hands-on expertise in enterprise content management, supporting solution delivery, integration, and customization work. This role combines technical execution with structured learning to build a strong foundation in professional services delivery. The role requires travel within the country and abroad as per project needs.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
• Assist in configuring platform components under the guidance of senior consultants.
• Develop components as required for integration, migration, and customization scope.
• Support testing activities, including writing test scripts, executing test cases, and logging defects.
• Assist with data preparation and migration tasks.
• Document technical configurations and processes.
• Participate in requirement-gathering sessions, supporting senior consultants.
• Focus on delivering quality support on customer engagements.
• Actively learn and adopt new tools and technologies through structured training.
• Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively within a project team.
Qualifications and Technical Skills
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of IT/software experience, or a strong internship/academic project background for recent graduates.
• Programming Fundamentals: Solid grasp of object-oriented programming concepts (e.g., Java, C#, or similar).
• Web Technologies: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic web application concepts.
• API Concepts: Basic understanding of REST and SOAP API concepts.
• Version Control: Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems.
• Database Fundamentals: Understanding of relational database concepts and the ability to write basic SQL queries.
• Operating Systems: Basic familiarity with Windows/Linux environments.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability.
• Soft Skills: Able to document and communicate technical work clearly to team members and stakeholders.
Education and Certifications
• Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
