The Test Operator II will work in a team-based manufacturing environment performing a wide variety of semi-repetitive or unique precision assembly operations where methods and sequence of assembly are described by production drawings or detailed written instructions. · Perform a Troubleshooting activities related to wiring or assembly
Advance in their job duties and abilities through on-the-job experience Perform the full range of duties necessary to test and diagnose units from other zones Work with Zone Team Members to execute daily tasks that are consistent with achieving the daily Task Promote Zone Safety Hazard avoidance according to training provided, PPE usage. Execute and engage other peers in housekeeping responsibilities (6S experience) that are consistent with manufacturing initiatives Drives Quality and Continuous Improvement initiatives as they relate to the tasks in their respective zone Demonstrated ability to grasp and execute process-related activities Fully engaged in the Employee Suggestions Program driving not only suggestions in the respective zone but also engage other team members to provide suggestions as well. Fully understand and engaged in the Zone Metrics Indicators to drive continuous improvement / problem solving in the zone; actively identifies detractors and records them on the Tier Production Boards. Perform diagnostics using test stands and test protocols. • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education level At least 1 year of experience in wiring assembly At least 1 year of experience in troubleshooting products Previous Technical electrical / electronic experience is preferable 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing environment is required Ability to understand and read working instructions Have experience using Lean Tools (A3, 5Why, Fishbone diagram, etc.) is preferable Have experience in managing the 7 Elements of Waste is preferable Familiarity with Engineering Drawings is preferable Ability and willingness to stand for a minimum of 10 hours per day, and lift up to 40lbs unassisted as required Ability to handle additional PPEs required for the Test Stand activities Experience using hand and torque driven tools Intermediate PC skills and ability to navigate programs used by the Company for training
