Job Summary:** General Motors de Mexico is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Construction Representative for our San Luis Potosí (SLP) facilities. This role is crucial for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Job Responsibilities:** * Manage and supervise all phases of construction projects from inception to completion, including planning, design, procurement, execution, and closeout. * Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and local construction codes. * Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation. * Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts. * Permanent site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and compliance with project plans. * Identify and resolve construction issues, conflicts, and potential delays proactively. * Coordinate and communicate effectively with contractors, vendors, engineers, architects, and internal stakeholders. * Approve contractor invoices, change orders, and progress payments. * Prepare and present project reports, updates, and presentations to management. * Participate in the selection and evaluation of contractors and suppliers. * Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all construction activities. * Lead and mentor junior construction personnel. Job Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field. * Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in c onstruction project management, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments. * Proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects. * Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and safety standards. * Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project). * Excellent c ommunication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * English: (written and spoken) is required. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Willingness to travel. • SPONSORSHIP NOT SUPPORTED: “GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role, do not apply for this role if you will need GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future” In case you need any reasonable adjustment to continue with your process, let your recruiter know.
