The Centralized Maintenance and Services (CM&S) Division is seeking maintenance craft persons with 1-5 years of maintenance experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument or Millwright areas. Maintenance Craft Person : Provides assistance to skilled craft professionals in performance of maintenance and repair work assignments. Will aid in mechanical and/or electrical/instrument maintenance and repair assignments. It is recommended that a current resume include all relatable prior work experience, any training certifications, apprenticeship completions and license information. Candidates Must:
Demonstrate a strong understanding and commitment to safety. Provide clear and concise verbal and written communications. Possess and practice good organizational skills. Be a team player. Be dependable and exercise good time management skills. Possess the ability to learn the safety and regulatory requirements for the assigned operating area, basic computer skills, and become knowledgeable of a variety of software packages including corporate systems, i.e., Microsoft Office products, Intranet, SAP, computer dispatch system, etc. Be able to accept and provide constructive feedback. Complete all required training for a mechanic position, including the apprenticeship program through Northeast State where applicable, within the prescribed timeframe.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have valid driver's license. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must have 1–5 years of maintenance experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument and/or Millwright areas.
Job Expectations
Must follow all safety procedures. Must wear company-provided personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses with side shields, and hard hats at all times in designated areas. Other specialized protective equipment must be worn when required. Must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Examples of physical requirements include, but not limited to:
Must be able to climb as necessary to reach the job. Must be able to work from ladders, scaffolds, platforms, crane baskets and JLG lifts. Must be able to work in confined spaces.
If/when required, must work a twelve (12) hour rotating shift schedule. Must work overtime as required. Must be familiar with basic computer functions such as creating, sending, and receiving e-mails and data entry. Must have a strong work ethic, demonstrating both initiative and a professional attitude. Must have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to apply mechanical and electrical aptitude to properly maintain the performance of the equipment within area of responsibility.
