Job Purpose
Optimize Honda & Supplier performance (SEQCDM) through continuous improvement (PDCA) in a culture of innovation to attain highest quality & value for our customer. Provide technical engineering expertise to ensure part and process can meet mass production quality requirements and demand.
Key Accountabilities
• Review, evaluate, and approve supplier process including Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Process Quality Control Table (PQCT), Operation Standards, and Manufacturing Quality Standard (MQS) for successful MP launch.
• Oversee and manage complex problem solving analysis and investigations. Provide technical engineering expertise and effective solution.
• Lead engineering investigations to complete root cause analysis, and direct problem-solving activity. Coordinate all related parties (Supplier/D-side/E-side) to proceed activity.
• Perform in depth analysis related to the production process to minimize customers concerns.
• Identify, analyse, and resolve negative quality trends and design concerns. Lead technical discussion with supplier(s) and design side to apply.
• Confirm incoming event parts quality by using gages, gear profile checker, CMM, etc. to ensure quality before build events.
• Manage and support communication with suppliers and other departments in regards to countermeasures.
• Mentor new associates (entry level) within group on problem solving, procedures and fostering development.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant experience required.
Minimum Experience
• 2-8 years of experience based on education.
Other Job-Specific Skills
• Microsoft office, Catia, SQL, GPCS, NARS, 5P, PQCT/FMEA experience preferred.
