Power Generation Engineering Co-Op

Wisconsin Public Service Corp, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Power Generation Engineering Co-Op Student in our Kronenwetter, Wisconsin location. This role will start in May/June 2027 and will be full-time through the end of the fall semester. This program gives students the opportunity to preview the work environment in their field of study and:  •    Apply classroom learning •    Combine engineering science with communications and team-building skills •    Receive hands-on experience    Engineer co-ops working at the Weston Power Plant will gain experience in plant and project engineering, as well as planning, technical support and environmental compliance activities. Students will assist in evaluating equipment and system performance, while maintaining reliability, safety and regulatory compliance. The Engineer co-op will be working in, and learning about, generation at the Weston (coal-fired) Power Plant.   The Weston Power Plant is located in central Wisconsin near the city of Wausau. Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or HSE Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related Enginering majors with a graduation date after July 2027.  Minimum GPA of 2.8 Preferred Qualifications

Excellent written and oral communication skills  Ability to learn quickly  Good decision making  Demonstrated ability to take initiative and complete projects  Computer skills (Microsoft Office applications)  End Date:  11/15/2026    Pay Range Minimum :  23.10 Pay Range Maximum :  27.55   The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future.
