As a senior claims specialist, you will… • Administer a portfolio of workers’ compensation claims and provide strategic direction to third party administrators to ensure Starbucks’ workers' compensation program delivers: -prompt and appropriate medical treatment, -timely wage- loss payments and other required financial benefits, -opportunities for early and sustainable return to work, -comprehensive claim investigation and evaluation, -effective litigation and legal strategy management, -compliance with all applicable state jurisdictional regulations, -appropriate utilization of risk mitigation tools (i.e. Sub Rosa, MSA, etc.). • Lead interactive discussions with injured partners, store leadership, healthcare providers, and claim stakeholders to identify opportunities for return to work and facilitate temporary modified duty assignments that support recovery and business needs. • Serve as a trusted advocate for injured partners by balancing empathy, quality, and operational excellence while driving positive claim outcomes.

Education (minimum education level, degree or certification necessary): Bachelor?s degree or equivalent work experience and skills Skills (minimum skills required): Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite Negotiate and work effectively with customers, partners, and claimants. Manage time effectively Demonstrated interpersonal skills Work effectively in a team environment Maintain confidential information Sustain consistent and punctual attendance

Years of experience in specific field or utilizing designated skills (minimum needed to be qualified): 5 years educational and/or work experience in risk management, or claims.
