Job Description
The Supply Chain and Planning Manager leads supply chain planning, materials management, and logistics activities for the PPG Aerospace business in Singapore. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will ensure compliant, efficient, and reliable material flow, production planning, and on-time delivery to aerospace OEM and aftermarket customers. You will manage a team of Planners and Material Executives and works cross‑functionally to support business, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management Lead a team of Planners and Material Executives across planning, materials, and logistics activities. Establish clear goals, performance metrics, and development plans aligned with PPG Aerospace objectives. Promote a culture of safety, compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement. Demand, Supply & Production Planning Develop and execute demand, supply, and production plans aligned with aerospace customer forecasts, long-term agreements, and aftermarket requirements. Participate in S&OP processes to align Sales, Operations and Manufacturing on volume, capacity, and inventory strategies. Manage capacity and constraint planning for batch manufacturing and specialty coating processes. Materials Management & Inventory Control Oversee MRP execution to ensure availability of raw materials, intermediates, and packaging in compliance with aerospace specifications. Optimise inventory levels while balancing service, shelf-life, and obsolescence risks. Ensure material traceability, batch/lot control, and documentation to meet aerospace and regulatory requirements. Logistics & Distribution Manage inbound and outbound logistics operations, transportation, and distribution to OEM, MRO, and aftermarket customers. Ensure compliance with dangerous goods regulations (e.g., IATA, IMDG, ADR) for handling and shipping aerospace coatings and chemicals. Improve freight cost, delivery lead times, and service performance through carrier management and route optimization. Coordinate global shipments with freight forwarding partners as applicable Supplier, Customer & Stakeholder Management Work closely with main suppliers to improve delivery performance and quality. Collaborate with Customer Service and Commercial teams to support customer commitments, AOG priorities, and critical deliveries. Partner with Quality, EHS, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with aerospace standards. Performance Management & Continuous Improvement Define and track KPIs including OTIF, inventory turns, inventory accuracy, logistics cost, material shortages, and schedule adherence. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and best practices in supply chain and logistics. Promote ERP/MRP and planning system improvements, focusing on data accuracy, visibility, and process standardisation. Compliance, Quality & Safety Ensure full compliance with PPG policies, aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS/ISO), EHS requirements, and regulatory obligations. Support internal and external audits related to supply chain, logistics, and materials management. Ensure proper documentation, record retention, and control of aerospace materials throughout the supply chain.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Chemistry, or Business-related field. Professional certification (e.g. APICS CPIM/CSCP) or postgraduate qualification 8+ years of experience in supply chain, planning, materials, or logistics within a manufacturing environment; aerospace, chemicals, or coatings industry. Experienced managing planners, material, or logistics teams. Knowledgeable in ERP/MRP systems and regulated supply chain environments. Experienced with hazardous materials logistics and compliance. People management experience leading planning and materials teams. Familiar with business process analysis, lean six-sigma/continuous process improvements and quality assurance
