About ATAC
Textron Systems - ATAC provides tactical flight training and adversary aggressor services for U.S. Navy, Marine and Air Force pilots. ATAC operates simultaneously across eight sites and two continents and comprises the world’s largest outsourced civilian, tactical airborne training organization and proudly provides the highest quality live training to Squadrons, Air Wings, and Battle Groups.
Summary
The Quality Assurance Manager \(QAM\) leads the Quality Assurance department\. The QAM manages company Quality Assurance personnel with a focus on safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement\. The QAM coordinates with other company department managers and subcontractors for maintenance quality\-related items\. Oversees company Ground Operating Procedures for assigned contracts and routes them for approval\. The QAM reports directly to the Director of Maintenance\.
Job Responsibilities
* Ensure effective supervision and management of all Quality Assurance efforts in support of company requirements; throughout ATAC\-Adversary Center of Excellence\.
* Organize job assignments and priorities for Quality Assurance department personnel\.
* Lead the Quality Assurance department in ensuring maintenance department functions comply with applicable regulations and requirements from the Federal Aviation Administration, Department of War, OEM, NAVAIR, and internal Quality Control and Safety Management System through effective QA processes\.
* Manage the development and review of Maintenance Policies and Ground Operating Procedures \(GOPs\) through internal processes and coordination with Maintenance leadership\.
* Coordinate with company Quality Control to aid with Quality Control audits\.
* Act as the primary contact for the maintenance department for safety\-related technical inquiries\.
* Manage quality\-related issues with customers, sub\-contractors, and suppliers\.
* Manage non\-conforming product processes with Quality Control and suppliers/vendors\.
* Prepare performance assessments of managed personnel\.
* Any additional responsibilities as delineated by the Director of Maintenance\.
* Travel required: 20%
Qualifications
* Minimum requirements of this position include, but are not limited to, at least 10 years of work experience in aircraft maintenance management and/or Quality Assurance\.
* FAA Airframe and Powerplant license required; Inspection Authorization preferred\.
* Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office \(Excel/Word/etc\.\)\.
* Strong supervisory, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage direct reports\.
* Can manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and effectively and efficiently direct reports to complete tasking\.
* Ability to work at all levels of the organization and the ability to work in a diverse workgroup\.
