Full Time: Monday-Friday, 2nd Shift, 12:00pm – 8:300pm Location:  Plant 1 – 3900 N. This position ensures product quality, maintains production efficiency, follows all safety procedures, and works closely with team members to meet daily production goals.

Job Function • Generally responsible for completing basic, routine tasks with detailed instructions and/or core knowledge of shop flow. • Determine processing specifications such as materials, sizes, surface conditions, material defects dimensions, tolerances, and operational sequences. • Ensure correct material for the job is used according to work orders. • Coordinates and executes material handling. • Adjust controls to set cutting speed, depth, and feed rates. • Measures and examines pieces using precision measuring instruments such as standard tape measure, calipers, micrometers, scales, and squares to ensure conformance to work order specifications. • Understands the importance of Tolerances identified by work orders, Standard Shop Tolerances, or ASTM • Performs “In Process” and “Finished Product” quality control inspections. • Removes scrap metal and clean equipment according to designated maintenance procedures. • Diagnoses problems and makes necessary adjustments. • Moves material from production areas to storage or other designated areas using forklift or overhead crane. • Tags material for proper identification and complete all required documentation. • Spot checks on inventory, completes daily and/or ad hoc checks for proper tagging of material, as directed. • Reports any irregularities to supervisor for direction. • Responsible for adhering to/ensuring compliance with applicable safety and quality standards. • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area. • All other duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
