What you need to know: Develop relationships and educate brokers to maximize opportunities for and achieve profitable growth. Initiate meetings and calls with brokers to identify sales opportunities and collect market intelligence. Generate and manage a strong pipeline of accounts and new opportunities with the goal of meeting or exceeding our premium and profitability goal Achieve new business premium, renewal premium retention and rate change objectives. Identify new product opportunities and work with the Dragon Boat team to develop such opportunities. Within company guidelines and granted underwriting authority, evaluate new and renewal account information to determine risk acceptability, terms / conditions to be quoted, and pricing. Make sound risk and pricing decisions that achieve loss ratio targets. Achieve customer service standards, including established objectives for: New business quote turnaround Renewal quotes Endorsement, cancellation, audits and other transactions Policy issuance Provide detailed issuance instructions to ensure policy delivery is consistent with quoted terms and conditions and in accordance with established guidelines. Assist with training, mentoring and coaching of less experienced team members. Utilize various underwriting tools to: Determine acceptable risk characteristics Determine accurate exposure classifications Rate and quote business to agents Support other underwriters as needed.   What we’re looking for:

3+ years’ underwriting experience in underwriting. 3+ years’ experience working with brokers and intermediaries. Excellent organisation and administrative skills and a high attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, interacting with other team members. Excellent communication and social skills. Strong relationship management skills along with empathy and understanding of the needs of our customers. Knowledge of A&H products distributed through brokers, financial institutions, associations, affinity organizations, membership clubs, and other traditional and non-traditional groups. Good understanding of Compliance. Good understanding of RapidCover operational processes. CIP qualified.
