Job Description
Responsible for creating or auditing a comprehensive estimate of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims in either the auto or specialty lines leading to the proper disposition. Responsible for training, mentoring, controlling quality and providing technical assistance on material damage claims. The NEST Supplement Appraiser is a fully remote work at home position responsible for handling supplemental repair estimates with non-network repair facilities while ensuring accurate damage assessments, timely claim resolution, and exceptional customer service. This role requires strong material damage expertise, estimate writing skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with repair shops, customers, and internal partners. Responsibilities include reviewing and writing supplemental and original estimates, documenting claim activity, resolving repair-related concerns, and maintaining compliance with company standards. Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong automotive estimating knowledge, and a solid insurance claims background. Additional state adjuster licenses are preferred, as the role supports multiple states, with primary business operations aligned to the Central Time Zone. Work schedule will align to the Central or Eastern time zone based off candidate's location. Key Responsibilities • Possesses strong estimating fundamentals in order to create or audit estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities • Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company • Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines • Evaluates settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices; makes decisions on best option • Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines Supervisory Responsibilities • This job does not have supervisory duties. #LI-JH1 Skills Auto Damage Appraisal, Documentations, Insurance, Insurance Claims, Verbal Communications Compensation Compensation offered for this role is 28.03 - 42.99 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
