Job Description
What You Will Do Parcel Logistics Sourcing Intelligence Own sourcing intelligence for global parcel, courier, express, and service parts logistics. Build shipment, lane, service-level, and market benchmarks for RFQs and negotiations. Analyze carrier pricing structures, service offerings, network capabilities, transit performance, and market competitiveness. Support sourcing strategies across global integrators, regional parcel carriers, express providers, and specialized service parts logistics suppliers. RFQ & Negotiation Analytics Support RFIs, RFQs, renegotiations, and carrier reviews with pricing, scenario, and cost analysis. Partner with sourcing leads to strengthen negotiations through fact-based targets, market intelligence, and commercial sensitivity analysis. Evaluate supplier proposals across pricing, service, coverage, technology, and performance. Analyze carrier commercial models such as earned discounts, tiered pricing, incentives, rebates, minimum charges, index-based pricing, and surcharge structures. Model savings impact from carrier mix, service mix, and shipment profile changes. Savings Governance & Cost Control Apply standardized savings and cost avoidance methodologies to ensure consistency, auditability, and credibility across sourcing initiatives. Track negotiated versus realized savings and identify leakage risks through structured analysis. Measure compliance with negotiated pricing agreements, earned discounts, incentive structures, and contractual commitments. Support initiatives focused on reducing transportation spend through optimization of carrier mix, shipment characteristics, service levels, and network design. Market & Risk Intelligence Monitor key parcel market cost drivers including General Rate Increases (GRIs), fuel surcharges, demand surcharges, peak season charges, labor costs, capacity constraints, and regulatory developments. Track industry developments across parcel, courier, express, and service logistics providers. Assess market trends, carrier pricing movements, network strategies, and competitive dynamics. Translate market intelligence into actionable sourcing strategies, negotiation playbooks, and risk mitigation recommendations. Digital Enablement & Continuous Improvement Support digital sourcing and RFQ processes by defining data, analytics, and benchmarking requirements. Drive continuous improvement in sourcing intelligence through advanced analytics, automation, AI-enabled techniques, and business intelligence tools. Develop models to improve service-level performance, transportation efficiency, and total cost visibility. Identify opportunities for structural cost reduction, service optimization, and logistics network improvement. Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with Global Logistics Sourcing, Supply Assurance, Finance, Contracts, Operations, and Digital teams to align sourcing intelligence with business objectives. Support executive decision-making through clear, actionable insights and data-driven recommendations. Collaborate with logistics service providers and internal stakeholders
