Software Engineer II Full-time Job Description job title:software engineer/software developer location: usa-co-boulder experience:8+ years This position will be responsible for developing a robust automated acceptance testing process for a device management system used to update medical device software in hospitals worldwide. Work with software team to determine scope of acceptance testing for each release of the platform. Work with internal customers to understand operation of the medical devices in the context of device management. test automation, most important criteria • Develop test automation for acceptance testing of new releases of a device management platform both pre and post deployment. • Create test plans and reports. • Ensure compliance with internal and external procedures and regulations. • Participate in review of requirements, architecture, design, test plans, procedures, reports and other work products with a focus on quality, testability, configurability and serviceability. • Provide oversight of system software verification and deployment validation processes. • Contribute to process improvements by developing and/or updating company or departmental procedures related to software test, software test automation, and software deployment.

Qualifications Required: • Deep experience with the specification, development, validation, and deployment of automated test platforms such as the Robot Framework. • Experience in testing complex IT solutions. • Experience in Linux and Linux shell scripting. • Experience in at least one popular scripting language such as Python. • Knowledge of standard internet technologies such as PHP, Java, XML, TCP/IP, HTTP/S. • Knowledge of MySQL. • Experience with tools such as Subversion, and Jira. • Understanding of current Software Quality techniques, and software industry standards. • Good verbal (including presentation) and written communication skills. • Ability to work effectively on project teams, both local and remote. Preferred: • Experience with Agile and waterfall methodologies. • Experience in verification of medical devices, MDDS, non-product software and process validation. • Understanding of FDA Quality System Regulations, and Good Documentation Practices.
