Internship Details: This internship/co-op opportunity is based in Toronto, Ontario and follows a hybrid work model . Candidates should be able to work from our downtown Toronto office 1–2 days per week , depending on team and business needs. We are considering students available for internship/co-op terms ranging from 8 to 16 months beginning in May/June 2027 Role Overview: Help build and validate the next generation of cloud-based software designed to help employees develop their skills and fulfil their potential. As a Software Developer Intern/Co-op in Test on the Agent Development team, you will contribute across the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, automation, debugging, and verification of production-quality services. You will gain hands-on experience with Java, Python, Selenium, Playwright, AWS, and other technologies selected to solve real engineering challenges involving scalability, security, quality, and usability. You will work alongside experienced engineers in an agile environment, contributing meaningful code and test automation while developing strong foundations in software engineering and quality practices. Design and verify high-quality full-stack software collaboratively across the development lifecycle, from implementation and testing through deployment and ongoing improvement Develop and maintain automated tests that improve software quality, test coverage, and confidence in production releases Build and enhance automated test pipelines that support reliable and efficient software delivery Validate resilient, scalable, secure, and maintainable cloud applications built on AWS infrastructure Investigate and debug software issues, collaborating with developers and quality engineering partners to identify effective solutions Explore modern technologies and testing approaches that strengthen automation, engineering efficiency, and continuous improvement Demonstrate ownership of software quality by contributing to design discussions, identifying risks, and helping ensure features meet expected standards Required Qualifications: Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or another software-related discipline Familiarity with programming using Java, Python, or a comparable modern programming language Basic experience with software testing concepts, test design, debugging, or automated testing Understanding of software development fundamentals and interest in learning across the full software development lifecycle Familiarity with agile development practices, including collaborative teamwork and sprint-based development Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with curiosity for investigating technical challenges Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with developers, quality engineers, and other team members Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to automated testing tools or frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright Familiarity with cloud computing concepts or AWS-based applications Exposure to full-stack development, automated test pipelines, or continuous integration practices Interest in learning new programming languages, development tools, testing
