Now Hiring: Grant Specialist - Foundation Summary: The Grants Specialist is a key member of the Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation’s Major Gifts Team, reporting to the Senior Development Director. This position leads the research, writing, and submission of compelling grant proposals that advance the strategic priorities of Presbyterian Healthcare Services (PHS). The Grants Specialist serves as the primary proposal writer, cultivates funder relationships, and identifies new funding opportunities across private and government sectors. This is a hybrid position, with on-site work expected Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, along with additional meetings as determined by the Senior Development Director.

 Responsibilities: Coordinate PHF and PHS grant-seeking activities, ensuring alignment with internal approval processes and protocols. Lead the development and submission of compelling grant proposals and letters of inquiry (LOIs), collaborating with departments to gather budgets, objectives, and evaluation metrics. Monitor and track grant applications, deadlines, reports, and related communications. Collaborate with funders, legal counsel, auditors, vice presidents, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements, under the direction of the Senior Development Director. Maintain a master grants calendar and centralized library of grant support materials. Ensure timely funder acknowledgment, communication, and stewardship. Coordinate the preparation and submission of grant reports in accordance with funder requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of verifiable experience in grant development, including federal grants; or Six years of verifiable experience in grant development, including federal grants, in lieu of a degree. Technical Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365. Experience with CRM systems; Salesforce experience preferred. Core Competencies Exceptional written communication, editing, and proofreading skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously. Strong collaboration and project management skills.
