About this role
We anticipate the application window for this opening will close on - 19 Nov 2026 Position Description: Deploy the Medtronic Performance System (MPS) across manufacturing operations, including Strategy, Value Stream, Innovation, Quality, and Maintenance Excellence, through Zero Loss and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) performance systems. Analyze and optimize manufacturing workflows, production layouts, and sequencing of operations to improve throughput, equipment utilization, and labor efficiency. Deploy tiered visual mgmt. systems to monitor operational performance and support escalation processes. Extract manufacturing data from SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and develop analytical reports and dashboards using Power BI to support data driven operational decisions. Develop and implement manufacturing flow and assembly operations using Lean Manufacturing and Toyota Production System (TPS) principles, including labor balancing, standardized work, value stream mapping (VSM), and virtual flow to support batch production transition to single piece flow in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality system requirements. Apply structured problem solving and continuous improvement methodologies including Six Sigma and Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) principals, 8D, Kanban, Plan, Do, Check, Act method (PDCA), and 5 Why analysis, and utilize manufacturing optimization tools including Just In Time (JIT), Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and One Piece Flow Cell to improve manufacturing processes. Apply statistical and analytical techniques including Design of Experiments (DOE), regression analysis, data mining, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to evaluate and improve process capability. Develop capacity planning and line balancing models using simulation tools to support equipment layout, line configuration using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools including SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER (Creo), or AutoCAD.
