Job Description
Pay Rate: $19.75 to $24.25 The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that our products provide a high level of quality that meets customer expectation. The Quality Technician will ensure the effective execution and control of the plant quality programs. This position will be responsible for leading and driving quality improvements for their shift by collaborating and directing investigations in response to customer complaints. The candidate must be an effective leader who possesses a strong aptitude for data analysis and interpretation of information, can work with little direction, and has a good understanding of quality systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive continuous quality control improvement through the methodical collection and analysis of quality data. Responsible for the Quality of their shift. Audits current processes for conformance to all SOC’s and product specifications. Gather information for corrective action process when nonconformances are discovered. Contain nonconforming material and escalate as necessary. Provide floor support and respond to Andon calls. Provide Quality Oversight on Critical to Quality orders as necessary. Positive and influential agent in charge of shaping quality culture for the plant. Responsible for assuring document control of all approved quality documents. Provide data for quality reports by collecting and summarizing information. Assures compliance of Test Methods and Specification adherence. Charged in assuring SQF compliance is being met throughout the plant. Accountable to ensuring effective execution and control of non-conforming materials throughout the plant. Disposition nonconforming material and assist with the Material Review Board (MRB). Execute all job responsibilities in a safe and effective manner. Follow all cardinal rules. Assist in projects and tasks assigned by Manager.
Qualifications
Strong working knowledge of the manufacturing processes or technical background Lean six sigma training a plus. Green Belt certification preferred. Past leadership experience a plus Specialized quality training or quality certifications a plus Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable presenting to groups of people at various levels. Demonstrated proficiency in project management Ability to multi-task several projects simultaneously
