The Principal Solution Architect, Reporting & Analytics, Microsoft Fabric & Power BI possess in-depth knowledge and experience to work autonomously. The position is responsible for the overall design, development, and implementation of Microsoft Fabric–based data solutions and Power BI analytics applications. The role is proficient in solution design, semantic modeling, performance optimization, governance, and troubleshooting. Working in a global environment, this role requires a hands-on approach capable of working across teams and time zones. This role must have hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, data warehouse/ Lakehouse design, data ingestion, transformation, and enterprise reporting. The position leads a technical team while also performing hands-on work. Responsibilities include interfacing with business stakeholders, process teams, and managing end-to-end technical design for Fabric and Power BI solutions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Act as a subject matter expert in designing and implementing Microsoft Fabric solutions, including Data Engineering, Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Power BI applications to support enterprise dashboards, reports, and analytics. Develop dashboards, KPIs, and scorecards by integrating data from multiple sources. Work with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and build solutions using Fabric Lakehouse and Warehouse structures. Collaborate with Data Engineering and Architecture teams to design data models, medallion architecture, and semantic models. Build and manage Fabric pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, notebooks, and connectors for data ingestion from SAP, flat files, APIs, and databases. Design Lakehouse and Warehouse tables using star schemas, surrogate keys, and slowly changing dimensions. Optimize data pipelines, incremental refresh, and Power BI performance. Develop Power BI solutions using DAX, measures, row-level security, calculation groups, composite models, and advanced visualizations. Use Fabric features such as OneLake, shared semantic models, governance, and capacity management. Support product demonstrations, proof of concepts, client relationships, and end-to-end BI project execution
