Specific Responsibilities

The Petrophysicist II is responsible for analyzing and interpreting petrophysical data to support oil and gas exploration, development, and production activities. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Petrophysicist II integrates well logs, core, geological, geophysical, and production data to characterize reservoir properties and reduce subsurface uncertainty. The role supports reservoir characterization, development planning, well planning and execution, and appraisal activities. The Petrophysicist II develops increasingly independent technical capability while working with more experienced petrophysicists and other subject matter experts on complex interpretations and acquisition programs. They provide petrophysical inputs to reservoir models, volumetric assessments, and reservoir engineering workflows used to evaluate in-place volumes and development performance.

Petrophysical Analysis: Perform petrophysical analyses of conventional and unconventional reservoirs, integrating log, core, geological, and production data to characterize reservoir quality, fluid saturation, and other key reservoir properties.   Permian Reservoir Characterization: Support characterization of Permian unconventional reservoirs, including evaluation and correlation of reservoir intervals and landing zones to improve understanding of reservoir quality and lateral variability.   Logging and Coring Programs: Support the planning and execution of wireline, LWD, coring, and other formation-evaluation programs. Develop recommendations for fit-for-purpose data acquisition with guidance from senior petrophysicists or subject matter experts when appropriate.   Well Planning and Operations: Provide petrophysical input to well planning, target identification, drilling and completion activities, including timely interpretation of acquired data during well execution.   Core and Log Integration: Manage, interpret, QC, and integrate log and core data and communicate results to multidisciplinary teams.   Development and Appraisal: Provide petrophysical interpretations that support appraisal and development decisions, including understanding reservoir variability, reducing subsurface uncertainty, and incorporating learnings from new wells into subsequent development plans.   Volumetrics and Reservoir Modeling: Provide petrophysical inputs such as porosity, saturation, net reservoir and other reservoir properties for volumetric assessments, geomodels, reservoir engineering studies, and in-place estimates.   Performance Integration: Work with geology and reservoir engineering to compare petrophysical interpretations with well performance and incorporate learnings into future reservoir characterization. Performance Integration: Work with geology and reservoir engineering to compare petrophysical interpretations with well performance and incorporate learnings into future
