Aggregate Mine Plant Maintenance Supervisor

Description The Plant Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for training, scheduling and the overall leadership of hourly maintenance employees.  Key objectives include adherence to safety standards and production expectations.   Location Weeping Water Mine is an underground limestone operation located near Weeping Water in Cass County, Nebraska. It is one of the largest and most productive limestone mines in the region, specializing in crushed and broken limestone for construction and industrial applications. The mine utilizes a room-and-pillar method for extraction and includes both underground and surface processing facilities. Situated in Nebraska’s limestone-rich corridor, Weeping Water Mine plays a vital role in supporting infrastructure development across the Midwest. Its operations contribute significantly to the local economy, providing jobs and essential raw materials for roads, buildings, and other foundational projects.

Responsible for supervising maintenance activities, which include underground and surface mine maintenance, plant operations and servicing all equipment. Work with management on preventive maintenance needs for the plant and mobile equipment Lead and develop the hourly maintenance workforce. Ensure compliance with Company, Local, State and Federal rules and regulations. Leads operations to established production, safety, and environmental objectives and metrics. Ability to complete and or ensure competent tasks in general maintenance, welding and electrical is completed to meet safety and production expectations. Responsible for the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities to meet safety and production expectations. Create work orders before work begins and close them out within 24 hours of completion Performs incidental and related duties as required and assigned. Maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Office products, JDE and other software as needed Other duties as assigned Skills General Maintenance Ethical Conduct Teamwork Leadership Decision Making Drive for Results Attention to Detail Analytical Required Education and Experience High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience 4+ years of related experience Valid driver’s license Work Environment This job operates frequently in a maintenance and operations environment in an underground and surface mine location.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds from ground to waist, visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination, manual dexterity, repetitive motion, standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, bending and stooping, working from a elevated position and the ability to drive.

Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position that regularly requires long hours and weekend work. Occasional travel will be required.
