Who we’re looking for Toyota’s Fraud department is looking for a passionate and highly National Manager, Fraud Prevention. As Head of Fraud Prevention, the primary responsibility of this role is to lead the enterprise fraud strategy to protect customers, dealers, and the business by preventing, detecting, and reducing fraud across the full customer and dealer lifecycle. The role also oversees fraud investigations, cross-functional controls, team leadership, and reporting to senior leadership to ensure fraud risks are managed effectively and continuously improved. Reporting to the Chief Credit Officer, the person in this role will support the Fraud department's objective to proactively prevent, detect, and investigate fraud to minimize losses, protect customers and the business, and strengthen trust across Toyota’s ecosystem. What you’ll be doing Develop, own, and continuously evolve Toyota Financial Services enterprise fraud prevention strategy, ensuring alignment with business growth, customer experience, and risk appetite objectives. Lead the design and deployment of fraud prevention strategies, including detection models, and emerging technology solutions (e.g., machine learning, behavioral analytics, identity verification tools) to proactively identify and mitigate fraud risk. Monitor fraud trends, emerging typologies, and industry benchmarks across auto finance and banking to anticipate threats and adjust strategy accordingly. Partner with Credit Risk, Sales Operations, Customer Service, Digital, and Product teams to embed fraud controls throughout the customer and dealer lifecycle. Establish key risk indicators (KRIs) and fraud loss metrics; report performance and emerging risks to senior leadership and governance committees. Own the fraud prevention budget, staffing model, and technology roadmap. Direct all fraud investigation operations across TMCC and TFSB portfolios, including application fraud, identity theft, account takeover, synthetic identity fraud, dealer fraud, and first-party fraud. Oversee case management processes to ensure timely, thorough, and consistent investigation outcomes. Establish investigative standards, escalation protocols, and quality assurance processes to ensure investigative integrity and regulatory defensibility. Coordinate with law enforcement, external fraud consortiums, and industry partners as appropriate.
