 OVERVIEW The Digital and Technology Manager – Global Data Governance Services is responsible for defining and driving the global data governance technology roadmap, with a strong focus on data cataloging, lineage, analytics enablement, and AI readiness. The role serves as a technical leader and connector across enterprise teams, ensuring governance platforms, data flows, and integrations are scalable, compliant, and aligned to General Mills’ digital transformation strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Define and manage the roadmap for data governance platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation). Lead enterprise data lineage strategy, including source integration, gap identification, storage, and visualization. Govern catalog compliance programs, platform configuration, upgrades, and enhancements. Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate governance needs into scalable tooling solutions. Identify and enable AI/GenAI readiness across Master Data and Data Governance domains. Mentor teams on governance practices, AI use-case identification, and technical best practices.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: : Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: : 15+ years of relevant experience. Strong expertise in data governance, data cataloging, data lineage, and analytics platforms. Proficiency in SQL, data catalog tools (Alation), cloud data platforms (GCP preferred), and data lineage solutions. Experience with Collibra, data quality tools, Python, visualization tools, and enterprise integrations. Proven ability to influence across large organizations, lead complex initiatives, and drive change in ambiguous environments. Exposure to AI/GenAI adoption, master data management, SAP/non-SAP ecosystems, and retail domain processes preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with enterprise data governance tools such as Collibra and Alation. Exposure to data lineage, metadata management, and data quality frameworks in large-scale environments. Experience working with cloud data platforms, preferably GCP Familiarity with Python, visualization tools, and enterprise data integrations. Exposure to AI/GenAI use cases, master data management, and governance readiness initiatives. Experience working across SAP and non-SAP ecosystems, preferably in a retail or consumer goods environment.
