Responsibilities
Responsibilities Keysight’s Thin Film department manufactures passive thin film devices that differentiate our industry-leading RF, microwave, and high bit rate instruments. The thin film devices are built in a high-mix microfabrication environment using processes such as deposition, lithography, electroplating, dry/wet etch, electrical test, laser ablation, and dicing. We are seeking a Night Shift Supervisor to lead ~12 operators to manufacture thin film devices with safety, efficiency, and quality. The ideal candidate combines effective people leadership with technical depth, driving operational excellence through clear communication, accountability, and continuous improvement. The position is on-site during night shift hours (Su-Th, start time 10:00PM), with additional oversight of limited weekend-shift work centers.
Responsibilities
Lead safe, efficient manufacturing performance across night shift and supported weekend areas Partner closely with day and swing shift supervisors to ensure seamless shift handoffs, staffing alignment, and consistent lot prioritization Maintain proactive floor presence to identify issues, remove barriers, and drive continuous improvement Promote culture of safety through hazard identification and proactive risk reduction initiatives Coordinate compliance with Quality Management System and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, maintenance, planning, and procurement teams Own work instructions and training records to drive standardized work Coach, develop, and engage a team of ~12 operators through regular feedback and performance management Qualifications Required: 2+ years of experience as a supervisor or lead technician with emphasis on coordinating the work of others Working knowledge of manufacturing execution systems (MES) and lot tracking methodologies Practical experience identifying and implementing continuous improvement ideas Proven leadership in a high-mix production environment Desired: Associates degree or higher in a technical field 3+ years of cleanroom manufacturing experience in microfabrication, semiconductor, MEMS or similar environment Hands-on experience across several microfabrication processes (e.g. lithography, sputter deposition, dry/wet etch, electroplating, electrical test, laser, dicing, visual inspection) Intermediate proficiency with Excel or similar tools for data analysis and decision making Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to Santa Rosa, CA This position requires access to certain goods, software, technology, or technical data subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations.
