Requisition Summary
The Sr. Product Manager leads product group(s) for a specific business unit in support of the North American market under the direction of a Product Director. Manages key supplier relationships with PACCAR Parts and drives the development, execution, and enhancement of product programs for dealers. Responsibilities include identification of market requirements, management of specific product strategies and offerings, leading program communications to dealers and sales force, managing supplier relationships, determining distribution, and pricing strategies, developing and communicating promotional and marketing initiatives to achieve established profit and sales objectives. Job Functions / Responsibilities
Works closely with the Product Director in developing specific objectives and business plans for sales, gross margin, inventory turns, and dealer order fill for the Product Group. Promote product offerings to customers to enhance sales and take market share. Manages supplier relationships with PACCAR Parts, including product offering, terms of sale, supplier performance, corrective actions, and other expectations as outlined in PACCAR Parts' supplier guidelines. Works with the Product Director, dealers and sales force to identify market opportunities and requirements. Compiles and analyzes competitive market data. Determines scope of offering, branding, distribution, and pricing strategies for each product program within the Product Group. Coaches and develops the Product Analyst to enhance business analysis and product management that support product group growth and profitability objectives. Assists the Product Director in leading a cross-functional team of managers and others to achieve specific business unit objectives. Assists the Product Director in developing key marketing support elements for product groups including dealer communication, promotional plans, dealer direct marketing events, product sales training cataloging, and other program support as required. Analyze program and product group performance and take appropriate actions to meet business unit objectives. Works with Aftermarket Purchasing and suppliers to negotiate cost reduction and program support elements of PACCAR Long Term Agreements including financial support for marketing, new stores, systems and sales programs. Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration or related field required. MBA highly desired. 7+ years of experience in a commercial vehicle role required Knowledge of truck components, aftermarket sales, parts distribution or engineering concepts. Strong analysis, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Proven ability to work in a team oriented, multi-functional business environment Strong knowledge of Excel, Access, AS400, Word, and PowerPoint Six Sigma Belt Experience preferred Up to 25% travel required Benefits
