Information Security Senior QA Automation Engineer EY Technology: EY Technology supports our technological needs through three business units:
Client Technology (CT) : Develops new technology services for clients. Enterprise Technology (ET) : Supports Core Business Services functions and internal technology needs. Information Security (InfoSec) : Prevents, detects, mitigates, and responds to cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data.
The opportunity As a member of the Security Implementation and Integration Services team, the Information Security Senior QA Automation Engineer supports the delivery of secure, reliable, and well-tested technology solutions by designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated and manual test solutions within assigned project or product areas. The role applies hands-on automation engineering, test planning, defect analysis, regression testing, and quality risk identification to help ensure deliverables meet business, technical, and Information Security expectations. Key responsibilities
Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and supporting test assets for assigned applications, integrations, and security technology solutions. Provide practical technical guidance to project team members on automation approach, test design, execution strategy, defect analysis, and quality risk mitigation. Assist in the development and continuous improvement of quality assurance automation standards, reusable frameworks, coding practices, procedures, and best practices. Contribute to program/project review meetings, support Quality Assurance Management in determining status, assessing problem areas, suggesting and reviewing corrective actions, directing/planning necessary extra work, and rework and re-plan activities. Support the onboarding of new team members. Work with project stakeholders to determine the appropriate quality initiatives to implement during system development life cycles. Support the Implementation Quality Assurance Architect or Quality Assurance Leads by coordinating assigned test automation activities, reporting progress, and identifying delivery risks for assigned project areas. Recommend improvements to Quality Assurance processes, test assets, automation coverage, and testing practices based on lessons learned during delivery. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other IT services, IT solution functions, and customers to expedite the delivery of IT solutions. Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the application of basic principles and practices related to Software Development Process Improvement. Identify process improvements and contribute to corporate testing standards and definitions. Investigate and document the internal control of specified aspects of Quality Assurance processes and assess compliance with the relevant standards. Control, update, and distribute new and revised quality standards, including technical changes. Work within quality assurance frameworks to ensure stability, efficiency, and scalability. Review requirements and specifications to define appropriate automated and manual test coverage, including functional, regression, integration, and non-functional test scenarios. Design test cases, test scripts, and automated test solutions under own direction, mapping coverage back to requirements and recording results for review by the Implementation Quality Assurance Architect or Quality Assurance Lead.
