We are embarking on a 5-year growth strategy to generate $440M in EBITDA in Wood Products through the building of a new mill, expanding distribution footprint, new products and internal growth. Foundational strategies involve Industry 4.0/Smart Manufacturing concepts, advanced analytics, machine learning/artificial intelligence, automation, robotics, digital twins, and computer vision. This position is an integral part of the centralized IT Enterprise Architecture Team at Weyerhaeuser, closely aligned with the Wood Products business. The role focuses on advancing our manufacturing & operations solutions while strengthening technology innovation. Outstanding business insight, strategic thought process, knowledge of cross-functional integration, comprehension of the impact of infrastructure on applications, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Must be able to understand the enterprise implications and trade-offs as well as solution-level technology, value and risks. The successful candidate will partner closely with the Wood Products Sales & Supply Chain Enterprise Architect to fully support the Wood Products business. Responsibilities - Formulate strategies, standards, good practices, and guide execution- Formulate, communicate, and uphold architectural strategies and standards in alignment with our growth strategies - Partner with senior leadership to determine and prioritize architectural initiatives - Lead the development of technology strategies, patterns and roadmaps that deliver new and improved business capabilities and outcomes - Evaluate the organization’s current technology portfolio and recommend enhancements and upgrades - Identify and align technology to business outcomes - Facilitate problem solving, solutioning as well as providing an “third-party” perspective to business and IT - Clearly communicate options, trade-off’s, impacts of different scenarios, dependencies and prioritization - Build and maintain relationships- Engage with key vendors and technical communities to stay current
