Our team members are at the heart of everything we do. At World Courier (a Cencora company), we are united in our responsibility to create healthier futures, and every person here is essential to us being able to deliver on that purpose. This role will sit within the Global Data and Technology Solutions (GDATS) organization in World Courier and is a key member of the Architecture & Analysis team. We’re re-imagining IT — not as a support function, but as a strategic partner to the World Courier business. We exist to help the organisation rise, adapt, and grow, using technology that is innovative, integrated, reliable, secure and designed around real operational needs. The Solutions Architect II plays a key role in shaping and delivering end-to-end technology solutions across the full lifecycle of logistics operations — from order entry and orchestration, through execution, to order-to-cash outcomes. This includes designing how systems work together across customer interaction, order management, transportation, route planning, inventory/depot operations, driver and vehicle technologies, and financial processing. Why this role matters World Courier operates in a complex, time-critical, highly regulated environment where every shipment can represent life-saving therapy. This role ensures that technology architecture enables precision, reliability, and trust by connecting order capture, planning, execution, visibility, and financial processes into a cohesive system. Architecture decisions can directly impact operational performance, compliance, and customer trust — making this role central to delivering safe, efficient, high-touch logistics services globally. What you’ll do Design end-to-end solutions across the logistics order-to-cash lifecycle Deliver architecture across order capture, planning, execution, and financial processes Design integration across ERP, portals, Salesforce, TMS, route planning, inventory, monitoring, and driver/vehicle systems Define API-first architecture across internal and external platforms Design event-driven systems for real-time orchestration and tracking Ensure timely, accurate, and trusted data across systems End-to-end platform and integration architecture Design how multiple platforms operate as a cohesive ecosystem Define integration patterns across systems using APIs and events Support cloud migration and cloud-first architecture decisions, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned to enterprise standards. Enable interoperability with vendors and third party tools Maintain a holistic architecture view across domains Delivery enablement Partner with engineering and delivery teams Provide guidance that enables progress without over-engineering Support investment and prioritization decisions, including trade-offs, as appropriate Upholding best-practice in architecture methods and standards Define solution artifacts and architecture documentation that are connected through AI to code and the delivery pipeline, and that can evolve iteratively with each release Contribute to reusable patterns and enterprise standards, while knowing when and how to make a clear case for challenging them appropriately when they are not suitable for the business use case AI-enabled architecture methods Use AI tools and agents to support architecture design, analysis, and documentation Apply AI to model integrations, dependencies, and solution options Work effectively alongside architecture AI agents to accelerate design thinking, explore options, and strengthen solution quality .
