The Opportunity
In this role, you will report to the Territory Area Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. In this role you will: Conduct routine inspections of laboratory facilities, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure a safe, compliant, and fully operational laboratory environment. Respond to facility and maintenance requests by troubleshooting laboratory equipment, utilities, and infrastructure-related issues, escalating concerns as needed. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness of laboratory workspaces, storage areas, hallways, and common areas. Monitor essential laboratory utilities, including water, gas, and electrical systems, and coordinate resolution of interruptions or deficiencies. Assist with coordinating and tracking preventive maintenance activities for laboratory equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime and support uninterrupted research operations. Collaborate with laboratory personnel and cross-functional teams to assess facility conditions, prioritize maintenance needs, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Support laboratory setup and teardown activities for experiments, projects, and laboratory reconfigurations, ensuring equipment is properly installed and functioning. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, facility repairs, inspections, and laboratory environment changes.
