Collins Aerospace is looking to hire a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to support the Mission Systems Resilient Connectivity Products (RCP) organization at the GETC Puerto Rico location. This role involves contributing to the engineering development and execution of important programs that enable our RCP product lines. In this role you will participate in software engineering activities that design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain software solutions for various communication systems products. This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location and is to be worked Onsite , 5 days a week. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
What YOU will do
Software Development: Design, develop, and enhance software solutions for communication systems with guidance. Testing: Test software in an Agile development environment. Collaboration: Work directly with Senior software engineers, system engineers, project engineers, and supporting organizations to ensure successful software project execution. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders Compliance: Ensure compliance with Collins development processes and standard work requirements.

Qualifications you must have: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written). Familiarity with Agile methodologies. Educational knowledge and project application on software development using Linux and/or C++, including debugging, integration, and deployment on software platforms. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance after start date.
Qualifications
We Prefer: Knowledge in basic Linux shell scripting, Python or Perl Working knowledge of programming languages such as C++ or C# Software level debugging experience. Experience with Database technologies Familiarity with Git, Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, and Coverity.
