Repair Engineer

Overview & Responsibilities Issuing of work instructions for shop floor. Preparing repair proposals. Ensuring Sales receives Repair Proposals as per the defined timelines in the KPIs. Technical assistance to shop floor. Tooling and fixture design and developing. Handling of customer questions and technical problems. Liaising with Field Services where required. Assisting and supervising Technicians on need basis. Specifying detail in more complex purchase requisitions. Support evaluations and Qualifications for new product/ processes. Ensure timely archiving of Project related records for better traceability and quick retrieval. A good understanding and demonstrable exposure to Health and Safety is essential. Planning, Scheduling projects as stated by technical plan. Issuing Technical Job reports to customers at interims stages & job completions. Provide and advises technical information and follows up with other departments on the selection, specifications, manufacturing, assembly, quality, tooling, test performance, scrap, salvage, cost and manufacturing compatibility, etc. of assigned engineering activity to insure conformance to design and quality standards. Liaise with Customer on QAP hold points. Make-Buy decision and Development of part / process at Supplier. Initiate and implement new methods /improvements over past practices. Recommend Safe work practices as per policy, across the plant. Meet & exceed annual objectives. Update Repair shop personnel on activity status. Help meeting CAPEx requirements as per the yearly plans. Constantly keeping updated on new technology pertaining to turbo machinery and current developments made by competition. Responsible for making judgment decisions on deviated parts in manufacturing. Provide technical assistance to manufacturing regarding the tooling and machining practices of a particular part. Provide technical assistance and knowledge to repair shop personnel and management. Supports the development and implementation of continuous improvement activities of operations including, but not limited to, establishing best practices, standard work instructions, safety culture and habits, and good housekeeping techniques. Apply Lean principles to consistently improve Product Quality , Productivity and Cost. Facilitate sustenance and implementation efforts towards QMS for GS Operations for Indonesia Shop. Facilitating External and Internal Audit efforts. Handling the change requests for QMS for GS in an effective manner as per the QMS implemented processes.
