The Opportunity

As a Senior Electrical R&D Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing one of the world's most advanced medical robotic platforms. You will contribute to the architecture and implementation of critical electrical systems, including power electronics, motor control, sensing, high-speed communications, redundancy, and networked systems. This position offers significant technical ownership, opportunities for growth, and the ability to influence next-generation robotic technologies from concept through commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

Own the full lifecycle development of printed circuit assemblies (PCAs), including architecture, schematic design, PCB layout, prototyping, verification, documentation, technical reviews, and product release. Partner with cross-functional teams to develop robust electrical solutions for sensing, motion, optical, and thermal subsystems while contributing to system architecture, design reviews, risk assessments, and failure mode analyses. Plan and execute component and subsystem-level verification activities, including fixture-based testing, EMI/ESD evaluation, thermal analysis, troubleshooting, and design validation. Drive innovation through hands-on prototyping, experimentation, and problem solving while balancing independent execution with effective collaboration.

What We're Looking For

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: Bachelor's degree with 4+ years, or Master's degree with 2+ years, in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Experience designing electronic hardware using Altium Designer (or similar CAD tools), with knowledge of power integrity, signal integrity, EMC, and fault-tolerant design principles. Familiarity with microcontrollers, BLDC motor control systems, and common communication protocols such as SPI and I2C.
