About this role
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Installation and/or relocation of Lam’s complex electro-mechanical and electronic systems equipment at customers’ sites and conduct associated start-up, cutover and check-out activities on the newly installed systems Minimize machine downtime or system interruptions performing on-site preventive maintenance of equipment and attending to equipment abnormalities. Utilize analytical problem-solving methodology to eliminate equipment malfunctions, isolate issues to the component level, and take corrective actions to minimize downtime, system interruptions, and equipment malfunctions. Provide clear and comprehensive pass-down information to relevant stakeholders, ensuring effective follow-up on machine status and continuity of customer support operations. Provide hardware support for Tier 2 process qualification activities. Keep up to date on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through learning, training, and certification. Maintain company’s assigned equipment (computer, tool kit, diagnostic test equipment, spare parts, etc.) in good working condition, and ensure it is secure and accounted for Take on ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by the Immediate Supervisor
Job Requirements / Work Experience & Skills
Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline Recent graduates from Local Polytechnics are welcome to apply (Singapore Polytechnic / Ngee Ann Polytechnic / Republic Polytechnic / Nanyang Polytechnic & Temasek Polytechnic) Able to work in a clean room environment while wearing personal protective safety equipment, or cleanroom suit Frequently position oneself (e.g., bend, stoop, reach, walk, sit, twist, squat, kneel, climb, stand) to perform job tasks for extended periods. Able to travel frequently, domestically and internationally, based on customer needs and for training, flexibility to work a variety shifts including compressed and alternative workweeks including overtime if needed (~10%) Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with common office software including Microsoft Office Suite Communication skills, both written and verbal, in English Foundational analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manual
