About this role
Part‑Time Remote Staff Pharmacist Location: Remote, anywhere within the US Schedule: Part‑time — may include evenings, overnights, and/or weekend shifts. Regular set schedule includes every other Saturday 7AM-5PM CST and 4PM-9PM CST at least 2-3 times during the week. Licensure Requirements: Must have active licensure in any of these 5 states (IL, IN, KS, MO, IA). Must be willing to obtain the other state licenses not held. Active IL state license is preferred.
About the Role
Join our telepharmacy team as a Remote Staff Pharmacist, supporting multiple hospitals across several states. You’ll leverage technology and clinical expertise to verify medication orders, support care teams, and ensure safe, high‑quality patient care from a fully remote environment. What You’ll Do Telepharmacy Services Complete remote order entry, order verification, and drug verification. Provide patient counseling when needed. Navigate multiple pharmacy information systems (PIS). Clinical Support Provide drug information and therapeutic guidance to providers. Assess medication appropriateness, dosing (including renal/hepatic adjustments), interactions, and compatibilities. Support specialized populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, pregnant/nursing patients, HIV, and those with renal/hepatic impairment. Maintain knowledge of IV therapies, TPN, cardiac/narcotic drips, IV antibiotics, chemotherapy, and more. Operational Excellence Document interventions and clinical actions accurately and promptly. Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, pharmacy laws, and client policies. Technical & Professional Skills Work across VPNs, automation systems, and multiple PIS platforms. Use applications such as Google Suite/Microsoft Office and Snagit. Maintain required licenses, credentials, and system access. Training & Performance Participate in ongoing training (clinical, PIS, and policy updates). Meet productivity and quality standards.
Qualifications
Bachelors in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred At least 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience required Active and in good standing state pharmacist license required (IL, IN, MO, IA and/or KS) Must be willing to obtain other state licenses Strong clinical knowledge and comfort working across multiple systems Ability to work part‑time hours that may include evenings, overnights, and/or weekends If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 54 - 91 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
