 Summary: Join our dedicated cardiology team and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented healthcare professional to provide primary clinical support to providers while ensuring a positive and efficient patient experience. In this role, you will prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assist providers during treatments, and help maintain a smooth patient flow throughout the clinic. You will also be responsible for performing and operating a variety of cardiology diagnostic monitoring equipment, including EKGs, Holter monitors, event recorders, and pacemaker checks. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (no weekends or holidays).  Responsibilities: Prepare patients for provider visits by collecting and documenting accurate clinical information, obtaining vital signs, updating medical histories, and assisting with patient flow throughout the clinic. Provide primary clinical support to providers during examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring patients receive timely, high-quality care. Safely operate clinical and cardiology-related equipment and perform assigned patient care procedures in accordance with established standards, policies, and best practices. Respond to patient inquiries regarding test results, medication refill requests, referrals, and other care-related needs under the direction of the provider. Coordinate patient scheduling, appointment reminders, and rescheduling efforts to optimize provider schedules and improve patient access. Manage referrals and prior authorizations for diagnostic testing, specialty services, medications, and durable medical equipment, ensuring timely processing and follow-up. Maintain and track patient documentation, including Advance Directives, FMLA paperwork, and other required forms. Support clinic operations by maintaining exam and procedure rooms using Kanban inventory processes, ensuring areas remain clean, organized, safe, and fully stocked. Adhere to infection prevention, safety, regulatory, and quality standards while maintaining a professional patient care environment. Communicate effectively with providers and care team members regarding patient status, concerns, test results, and clinical needs. Deliver exceptional customer service by utilizing effective communication, active listening, empathy, and professionalism to create a positive patient experience for patients and their families. Accurately document patient interactions, clinical activities, referrals, authorizations, and care coordination efforts within the electronic medical record. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and follow established workflows to support operational excellence, patient safety, and clinical quality outcomes.
