Eaton’s Electrical Sector - ARS division is currently seeking a Buyer based onsite at our Fibrebond manufacturing campus in Minden, Louisiana. Fibrebond by Eaton is building the infrastructure that powers some of North America's most critical data center, utility, industrial, and communications operations. The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  What you’ll do: 
 As a Buyer, you will manage vendor relationships and source materials at the best overall value while maintaining excellent service levels. You will analyze manufacturing data to determine material requirements, create purchase orders, and coordinate delivery schedules. Additionally, you will identify and negotiate with new suppliers, establish favorable payment terms, and resolve invoice pricing and quantity discrepancies. Essential Functions: Analyzing MRP and other related reports to determine inventory status and material requirements. Place purchase orders to meet or exceed the projected material requirements.  Verify pricing and delivery information on the purchase order.  Track purchase orders to ensure delivery meet production requirements.  Verify and expedite shortages on a daily basis.   Source new vendors and negotiate payment terms. Work closely with AP and receiving to correct invoice variances within 30 days.  Source secondary vendors for all mission critical materials.  Work with vendors to source the most cost efficient materials.      Maintain an organized filing system. Help engineering and production resolve material  issues and source solutions. Reports results of major sourcing efforts to management in written, electronic or verbal form.  Print purchase orders, fax purchase orders to vendors and file.  Review vendor/purchasing related reports on a regular basis. Process purchase orders for Sales Order shipments and field services. Qualifications: 
 Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a purchasing/buyer position Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Preferred Qualifications: Training in purchasing within a manufacturing and/or MRP environment preferred Prior Epicor experience preferred Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook  Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management Strong organizational, problem solving, and planning skills All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
