EY-Parthenon’s market leading Deal Management team provides technology and operations advice to corporate investors and private equity firms who intend to acquire, divest or restructure businesses. The team comprises advisors with specialist experience in operations, technology and deal/transactions from industry, advisory and audit backgrounds. EY’s Deal Management (Technology) team has seen a period of strong growth and as such, are seeking to further expand the team with Technology M&A / strategy consultants. As a Senior Consultant in the team, you will advise clients, supporting key decision makers in developing and executing strategies for transactions using your expertise, strategic thinking and enthusiasm. You will work across the M&A transaction spectrum covering pre-deal diligence to carve out, integration and value creation projects. Your key responsibilities
Lead/contribute to technology M&A projects such as technology diligence, tech-focused separation/integration planning, and value creation/cost improvement Assist in aspects of deal origination, including pitches and presentations, and working in project teams comprising other colleagues Work in client engagement teams executing Strategy and Transactions services that support key decision makers in developing and executing technology strategies for transactions Demonstrate strong business and technical acumen on projects to help us drive value for clients Continuously upskill your capabilities and be well-versed in the latest emerging technologies and trends including AI, cloud computing etc and their application in driving value for our clients/EY teams Contribute to practice development initiatives, act as role model for junior team members, and support learning, recruitment and training responsibilities
Skills and attributes for success To qualify for the role, you must have
4-6 years of professional services/consulting experience covering IT due diligence, separation and divestiture, post-merger integration, operating-model design, and synergy or value-creation analysis. Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience of producing high calibre reports, papers, presentations and thought leadership Demonstrated ability to manage workstreams, teams, senior stakeholders, quality, risk, budgets and transaction timetables Relevant education background typically in computer science, information technology, engineering, informatics, data science or a related discipline. Proven experience across one or more of the following areas:
Technology strategy Systems and architecture review (including ERP, CRM, middleware, front and back-office systems) Infrastructure analysis (covering data center, cloud, network and EUC design) Technology operating model (e.g. nearshoring/off shoring, SDLC, technology organisation composition, data and innovation, service management, supplier contracts and governance processes) Cybersecurity review and assessment (e.g. security posture, identity and access management, application security, data protection, vulnerability and patch management) Technology financials (operational and capital expenditure analysis,
