Purchase Engineer

Manage sourcing and procurement of mechanical, manufactured, fabricated and specialized engineering commodities. Lead procurement of HVAC equipment including ATU, HE, Fans, SWC, filtration systems, pumps, valves, compressors. Supplier onboarding, evaluation, qualification and performance management. Conduct cost analysis, value engineering and commercial negotiations. How You Will Do It Work closely with the Procurement Manager and stakeholders to understand spend requirements, negotiate pricing and contracts, and deliver cost savings. Manage commercial and contractual interactions with suppliers and develop long-term supplier partnerships using market analysis and cost models. Utilize technical knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, Marine and Navy HVAC systems to support sourcing decisions.

Vendor Registration and Qualification. Cost Analysis and Negotiation. Conduct total cost analysis and prepare procurement reports. Provide monthly savings data, TWC improvements and Open PO reviews. Maintain procurement records and audit documentation. Hands-on experience with ERP systems, MS Office, AutoCAD, engineering drawings, specifications and Bills of Materials. Extract and analyze ERP reports for reviews and audits. Review technical specifications, P&IDs, GA drawings and BOMs. Source fabricated components, piping, ducting, sheet metal and mechanical assemblies. Competencies & Skills Strong Communication Skills, Integrity and Trust Knowledge of ERP Systems and MS Office Time Management, Organization and Multitasking AutoCAD drawing interpretation and BOM understanding knowledge of HVAC equipment and mechanical engineering fundamentals Experience in Mechanical, Fabrication, Marine and Navy commodities preferred Qualification & Experience Education: BE / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering Experience: 1–3 Years, relevant in Engg, estimation Communication Skills: Good Joining: Within 1 Month Age: No Limit
