Who we’re looking for  Toyota Financial Services is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to play a critical role in driving architecture, delivery, and technical excellence across key digital platforms. This role blends deep hands‑on technical leadership with team leadership, acting as a technical authority and delivery owner for major capabilities across Dealer, Origination, Pricing, and Credit domains. The ideal candidate is a strong systems thinker who can lead complex initiatives end‑to‑end, mentor engineers, influence standards across teams, and partner with leadership to shape roadmap and execution strategy. What you’ll be doing  As a Manager, you will: Lead, grow, and retain a team of full-stack and backend engineers — hiring top talent, running performance reviews, coaching, and creating clear paths for career development. Lead system design and architecture for complex, distributed platforms supporting PreQual, Credit Pull, Pricing, and Funding workflows Own end‑to‑end delivery of major initiatives—from design through production readiness and operational support . Drive the design and implementation of scalable, fault‑tolerant, and resilient microservices using modern cloud‑native patterns. Partner with Product, Architecture, and Engineering leadership to align technical execution with business priorities and roadmap. Establish and influence engineering standards across APIs, observability, resiliency, security, and cloud practices. Lead API‑first and event‑driven integrations across dealer portals, origination systems, pricing engines, and downstream consumers. Ensure strong production readiness, including monitoring, alerting, tracing, and operational discipline. Coach and mentor engineers on system design, code quality, and operational excellence, building strong technical depth across the team. Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and team scaling, and manage engineers where applicable. Champion the use of AI‑assisted engineering tools to improve developer productivity and delivery quality. What You Bring Bachelorʼs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of software engineering experience, with demonstrated leadership on large‑scale, distributed systems. Deep hands‑on expertise with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and microservices architectures. Strong experience designing and deploying cloud‑native applications on AWS, including ECS, Fargate, IAM, and VPC. Proven ability to design and operate event‑driven
