Where is the work: On-Site (5 days)     What's in it for you: Trane is hiring for a 3rd shift Maintenance Mechanic in Trenton, NJ! Expected shift hours: 10:00pm-6:00am.

What you will do

Performs any combination of ( but not limited to ) the following duties according to specific department guidelines: Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Proficient in mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems repair. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment such as but not limited to vertical milling machine, drill press, Lathe and welding. Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Ability to read blueprint, layout, install and maintain various equipment. What you will bring

Journeyman License/Certification preferred; or equivalent years’ experience performing complex mechanical work in industrial maintenance High School Diploma or GED Proficient reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics Ability to work overtime as needed Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range: $34.90 Compensation Type: Hourly Incentive Eligible: No Sales Commission Eligible: No Disclaimer : We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
