As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll leverage your strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and materials science to process and resolve mechanical problems, design and implement custom mechanical tooling and associated processes, and enable the handling, assembly, and disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and modifying mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, and specifications. You will oversee manufacturing and installation processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations-- and you'll coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects, identifying sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues.
Role
Responsibilities: Independently develop and implement concepts for a range of significantly complex product engineering solutions Determine appropriate material and fabrication processes for parts. Lead or execute engineering projects and spearhead the mechanical aspects as part of the R&D team Identify and troubleshoot a wide range of significantly complex engineering problems Specify or perform significantly complex engineering analysis and FEA simulation. Perform tolerance analysis on parts and assemblies. Communicate with internal and external customers regarding significantly complex engineering issues to address customers’ important needs. Review and understand product specifications and invent new or improved sub-systems to intercept future needs. Work with electrical engineering, chemical engineering, and software engineering groups to generate the mechanical aspects of equipment solutions. Specify engineering tests for mechanical systems and oversee technicians that will implement assembly and testing. Interpret complex engineering layouts, schematics, drawings, and specifications Specify and review engineering documentation and engineering processes Visit manufacturing and customer sites to identify and resolve first time issues Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree 10-15 years of experience Deep technical expertise in equipment design, assembly and part fabrication Experience with semiconductor equipment, especially wet processing equipment, is preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills to explain difficult or sensitive information and to build consensus Additional Information Time Type: Full time Employee Type: Assignee / Regular Travel: No Relocation Eligible: Yes The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of
