What you’ll do: Designs, coordinates, and implements highly complex process sampling systems, procedures, statistical techniques, and quality systems. Develops process improvement and cost control programs throughout the plant. Performs review of customer/industry/internal specifications to ensure processes meet/exceed requirements. Provides technical support to operations, customers, and suppliers as needed. Perform supervisory duties and provide customer requirement training to employees as necessary. Complete Quality Engineering assignments with minimal supervision. Define, specify, and implement Quality standards and procedures for manufacturing processes. Execute the development, implementation, and improvement of the appropriate Quality Management System throughout the operation, providing advanced quality planning support in the development and launch of new products, processes and services. Provide technical advice and counsel cross-functional teams assigned to process improvement projects. Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers. Analyze organizational Quality metrics and evaluate results and recommend action plans. Develop and analyze statistical data and product/process performance to recommend and implement improvement. Prepare corrective action reports as necessary. Assist in the Investigation and elimination of the root causes of Quality problems. Develop and implement corrective actions. Host Source inspectors and/or Customer Auditors as needed. Prepare and present material to customer representatives and/or facility employees as required. Provide technical support to both internal and external customers. Support the Supply Chain Management organization relative to the collection and analysis of supplier quality data providing expertise and assists suppliers with product and process quality requirements as needed. Formulate and implement quality assurance procedures, policies, and standards. Participate in and lead the auditing of internal Quality System Supervise other personnel as assigned or required. Handle training and performance reviews of subordinate staff. Provide support and or lead any improvement team activities. Evaluate process variables such as capability, MSA, SPC out-of-control conditions and process audit findings Other duties as assigned Work in conjunction with the Divisional Supplier Development team to understand/mitigate Supplier Risk, supporting Supplier Audits to ensure that suppliers are working in conformance with Customer, AS9100, Part 21G and other 3rd party requirements. Ensure timely closure of WISPER 8Ds from internal and external supplier non-conforming material and support the business in recovering Cost of Poor Quality from the Supply Chain Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment. A total of ten (10) years manufacturing experience may be allowed in lieu of the Bachelors degree and 3 years manufacturing experience. Skills: • Ability to read and understand blue prints, specifications, and requirements. • Knowledge of machining, assembly operations, gauging, SPC, APQP, and quality assurance systems (ISO 9001, AS9100). • Experience in performing Quality Audits. • Experience using PC configured with
