Position
Overview We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support the efficient flow of materials throughout our operation. In this role, you will receive inbound shipments, accurately store materials, and prepare outbound orders to ensure production and customers receive the right products on time. Your success will be measured by inventory accuracy, receiving and shipping performance, and your ability to maintain a safe, organized warehouse environment. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and partners closely with Materials, Production, Purchasing, and Transportation teams.
Key Responsibilities
Receive inbound materials and verify quantities, part numbers, and condition against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation. Accurately perform system transactions and place materials into designated storage locations to maintain inventory accuracy levels of 98% or higher. Safely unload, transport, and store materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. Investigate and report receiving discrepancies, damaged materials, inventory inaccuracies, and shipping issues to the appropriate teams. Complete shipping documentation and coordinate with carriers to ensure accurate and timely shipment processing. Maintain warehouse organization through proper material identification, location management, and adherence to 5S standards. Support cycle counts, inventory audits, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve warehouse efficiency and inventory control. Replenish warehouse and production storage locations as required to support uninterrupted operations. Follow all company safety procedures, quality requirements, and material handling standards. Required Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, or logistics environment. Ability to operate or become certified in forklift and other material handling equipment. Experience receiving, storing, and shipping materials using established warehouse procedures. Basic computer skills with the ability to process inventory and shipping transactions within ERP, WMS, or shipping systems. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 35 pounds and up 50 pounds on occasion Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of inventory and transaction accuracy. Preferred Skills and Qualifications Experience with SAP or other enterprise inventory management systems. Forklift certification and experience operating powered industrial vehicles. Experience using RF scanners, handheld mobile devices, or warehouse management systems (WMS) to perform receiving, inventory, put-away, picking, and shipping transactions. Experience in a lean manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment. Knowledge of inventory control processes, cycle counting, and warehouse best practices.
