About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Risk Analytics Consultant (Mortgage Valuation and Cash Flow Analytics Consultant) professional to join the Consumer Banking and Lending Finance team. The role supports evaluation of mortgage portfolio performance, cash flows, valuation, profitability, capital usage, and business outcomes. Positioned at the intersection of mortgage finance, capital markets, and business performance analytics, this individual will assist in converting complex analysis into actionable insights that support portfolio value, pricing, profitability, capital allocation, and strategic decision-making. This is not a pure model-development role. The successful candidate will combine strong mortgage product and secondary-market knowledge with the ability to apply cash flow, behavior, valuation, and profitability analytics to business and risk decisions across mortgage originations and portfolios. Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.com In this role, you will: Analyze mortgage portfolio performance, valuation, cash flows, and profitability across mortgage-related assets and portfolios while helping develop future Home Equity analytics and securitization capabilities. Evaluate mortgage pricing and product economics, including note rate versus par rate and price, points and lender credits, fixed-rate versus adjustable-rate mortgages, and 30, 45, and 60-day lock terms. Model origination behavior using pull-through assumptions that estimate the probability of locked loan funds and assess fallout drivers such as rate movements relative to the lock rate and borrower characteristics. Decompose expected profitability into revenue components, including Net Interest Margin and fee income, and cost components, including fulfillment, hedge, capital, and liquidity costs. Produce and interpret core profitability metrics such as Net Present Value (NPV), Return on Assets, Return on Equity, and capital utilization and allocation measures. Partner with Mortgage Capital Markets and Secondary Marketing to evaluate pipeline strategies, mandatory versus best-efforts delivery, and best execution across agency, whole-loan, and securitization alternatives. Assess the margin impact of rate volatility and optimize execution selection based on pricing, market conditions, and portfolio objectives. Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis across interest-rate shocks, CPR, pull-through, and spread assumptions, including the interaction between pricing, volume, fallout, and margin. Develop forecasts, reporting, dashboards, and analytical insights for senior leadership, translating complex findings into clear business recommendations. Partner across Finance, Risk, Treasury, Mortgage Capital Markets, and Business teams on portfolio optimization, profitability enhancement, and other strategic initiatives Required Qualifications: 4+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Experience supporting financial or portfolio analytics within Mortgage Finance, Home Equity, Mortgage Capital Markets, Mortgage Banking, Secondary Marketing, mortgage securitization, or a related financial services environment. Experience supporting securitization, structured finance, capital markets, or secondary marketing initiatives, including cash flow analysis, collateral analytics, valuation, and execution economics. Working knowledge of mortgage and home equity products, pricing, valuation, and portfolio performance, including experience with Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS), Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS), home equity loans and HELOCs, securitization structures, and secondary market execution.
