Location: Otis Elevator Company (M) Sdn Bhd, 15-01 Menara Symphony, No 5, Jalan Semangat, Seksyen 13, 46200 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan , Malaysia Key Responsibilities Testing & Commissioning Assist in functional testing and commissioning of elevators and escalators. Support final equipment inspection prior to customer handover. Verify that installation work complies with Otis standards, specifications, and local regulations. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues identified during testing. Perform ride quality, safety circuit, and functionality checks. Documentation & Reporting Maintain commissioning records, checklists, and inspection reports. Prepare project completion and handover documentation. Update testing and commissioning status reports. Ensure all required certificates and regulatory submissions are completed. Site Coordination Coordinate with installation supervisors and subcontractors to ensure readiness for commissioning. Liaise with contractors, consultants, and customers regarding testing schedules. Support site inspections with local authorities and third-party inspectors. Safety & Quality Follow all Otis EH&S (Environmental, Health & Safety) requirements. Ensure safe work practices at project sites. Participate in toolbox meetings and safety briefings. Escalate safety or quality concerns promptly. Operational Support Assist engineers in defect rectification prior to handover. Support project close-out activities. Attend customer inspections and acceptance tests when required.
Requirements
Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics/Electronic Engineering or related technical disciplines 1-3 years of experience in elevators, escalators, construction, M&E, building services, maintenance, or commissioning is an advantage. Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems. Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams. Familiarity with testing instruments and troubleshooting techniques. Knowledge of elevator and escalator systems is an added advantage. Good communication and coordination skills. Strong attention to detail. Problem-solving mindset.
