About this role

At Google, we put our users first. The world is always changing, so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users. We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to define and lead the strategy for our next-generation Generative Brand and Categorical Viewers. In this role, you will lead the goal and execution for how generative AI constructs contextual brand hubs and category exploration spaces in real time. You will be responsible for bridging top-of-funnel interactions in AI Mode (conversational discovery, multi-modal inputs, complex intent queries) with high-converting, deep-funnel transactional experiences across our catalog. Users come first at Google. Nowhere is this more important than on our Advertising and Commerce team: we believe that ads and commercial information can be highly useful to our users if that information is relevant to what our users wish to find or do. Advertisers worldwide use Google Ads to promote their products; publishers use AdSense to serve relevant ads on their website; and business around the world use our products (like Google Shopping, and Google Wallet) to support their online businesses and bring users into their offline stores. We are constantly innovating to deliver the most effective advertising and commerce opportunities of tomorrow. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $192000 - $278000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits Learn more about benefits at Google .

Define the multi-year road map for generative categorical and brand viewers, transitioning from static grid layouts to real-time, context-aware visual merchandising synthesized by LLMs and multimodal models. Architect the end-to-end journey that takes users seamlessly from conversational/generative AI Mode queries into immersive, structured brand and category viewers, managing downstream engagement, PDP click-through, and conversion. Establish evaluation frameworks and guardrails for generative UI rendering, ensuring brand safety, high visual fidelity, catalog accuracy (hallucination mitigation), and sub-second latency performance. Operate with initiative as a leader to align executive stakeholders across Core Search and Merchant Shopping organizations. Own core KPIs including AI Mode downstream conversion, session depth and incremental Google influenced gross merchandise value (GiGMV).

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of product management experience shipping consumer-facing discovery, search, or marketplace products. Experience designing, developing, or optimizing user discovery funnels, intent-based browsing, or modular design systems, and experience using quantitative methods (such as running A/B tests or defining product metrics). Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver multi-quarter initiatives, and mentoring junior-to-mid-level product managers, and team members. Experience productizing LLM-driven features, multimodal interfaces, RAG/grounding architectures, or real-time recommendation engines. Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in
