Here, you will find more than just a job—you will find purpose and pride.  Your Role at Baxter: The Senior Director, Clinical Research - Infusion Therapies & Technologies serves as the scientific leader responsible for transforming medical, clinical, and business priorities into executable evidence-generation strategies across Baxter's ITP portfolio, including pharmaceuticals, nutrition therapies, infusion systems, pharmacy technologies, and medication delivery solutions. Working in close partnership with Medical Affairs, the Senior Director translates unmet medical needs and strategic evidence priorities into scientifically rigorous research programs capable of generating meaningful clinical, economic, and operational evidence to support innovation, product development, regulatory submissions, post-market evidence generation, clinical practice adoption, and value-based healthcare initiatives. The role provides leadership in study methodology, evidence strategy, research governance, scientific interpretation, and cross-functional execution. The Senior Director works with Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations, ensuring that research programs are scientifically sound, operationally feasible, aligned with regulatory expectations, and capable of generating evidence that advances patient care and business objectives.

What you'll be doing

Clinical Research Strategy & Evidence Planning Partner with Medical Affairs to convert medical evidence priorities into integrated clinical research strategies. Design evidence-generation programs that address unmet clinical, scientific, healthcare system, and customer needs. Develop fit-for-purpose study designs. Establish research plans that generate evidence relevant to clinicians, regulators, payers, providers, and healthcare systems. Scientific Leadership Serve as the organization's leading expert in clinical research methodology and scientific study design. Ensure appropriate application of epidemiology, biostatistics, implementation science, health-services research, and clinical study methodologies. Provide scientific oversight for protocols, statistical plans, clinical study reports, and evidence interpretation. Ensure scientific rigor across all clinical research activities. Clinical Operations Leadership Lead the Clinical Operations team and partner with them to optimize feasibility, execution quality, enrollment strategies, and study delivery. Ensure study designs appropriately balance scientific rigor, operational feasibility, project timelines, and resource requirements. Participate in governance and risk mitigation activities for ongoing studies. Support study execution through interpretation of emerging data and resolution of scientific issues.

What You'll Bring

Advanced scientific or clinical degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, DNP, or equivalent). Minimum 10 years of experience in clinical research, clinical development, medical affairs, or evidence generation. Experience leading development and execution of clinical studies and evidence-generation programs. Experience working within regulated healthcare environments. Strong understanding of GCP, global regulatory expectations, and evidence-generation requirements. Experience generating evidence across multiple evidence domains, including
