Job Summary
Join our Columbus Forge facility as a Maintenance Working Leader and play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations by maintaining and repairing complex machinery and equipment. As part of the maintenance department, you will work on-site to troubleshoot, repair, and perform planned maintenance on equipment with electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. Your work will directly contribute to the success of our production processes and the safety of our workplace. This is a Weekend Day Shift position : Friday - Sunday, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm What You Will Do: Coordinate and provide oversight to onsite contractors Perform daily and monthly planned maintenance on machinery and equipment, ensuring operational efficiency. Troubleshoot and repair electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using service manuals, drawings, and equipment performance descriptions. Conduct tests using instruments such as oscilloscopes, recorders, and digital measuring tools to identify faulty circuits and resolve issues. Replace or adjust components such as amplifiers, logic cards, memory units, feedback devices, high-voltage switches, and printed circuit boards as needed. Calibrate and service electronic and electrical systems, including hard-wired and computerized controls, power distribution systems, and instrumentation. Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and maintenance activities. Collaborate with team members to support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) policies.
Qualifications
You Must Have: High School Diploma or GED 6+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing, maintenance, or technical environment Qualifications We Prefer: Previous experience leading, training, or mentoring manufacturing team members. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing systems (e.g., SAP or MRP). Experience in industrial maintenance, working directly with machines involving both electrical and mechanical systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing systems (e.g., SAP or MRP). Prior work experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
