This position will play a key role in driving the performance, stability, and scalability of next-generation networks to support Information Technology (IT) workloads. You will join a diverse team of software and platform engineers to design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure. You will collaborate with people inside and outside the organization to deliver the highest standards for building, deploying, and scaling networks. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Wan Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the Networking team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust and efficient network infrastructure solutions.
Key Job Responsibilities · Design, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain complex Layer 2/3 data center architectures using BGP, VLANs, MLAG, LAG, Spine/Leaf topologies, Trunk/Access ports, and other related technologies. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective network solutions. · Provide expert guidance and support to junior team members, assisting them in their professional growth and development. · Stay updated on the latest networking trends and best practices; proactively seek out new learning opportunities to enhance technical expertise. · Contribute to the documentation of network infrastructure designs and configurations for future reference and knowledge sharing among team members. · Travel up to 25% of the time, as required, to perform on-site installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities at customer sites or data centers.
Required Qualifications · Proven experience in designing, configuring, and managing complex BGP and Layer 2/3 Data Center architectures. · Expertise in VLAN, MLAG (Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation Group), LAG (Link Aggregation Group) configuration, and troubleshooting. · Experience with Spine and Leaf architecture design and implementation. · Strong understanding of Trunk/Access ports, their functions, and how to configure them for optimal performance in various network environments. · Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. · Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, as required. · Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality work. · Ability to stay updated on industry trends and technology advancements; willingness to continue learning new things. · Active TS/SCI and the ability to maintain access as required by the program · In depth experience deploying and troubleshooting core dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), MPLS, and modern SD-WAN platforms (Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN\VIPTELA, Fortinet, or Silver Peak) to manage multisite enterprise traffic and WAN edge connectivity · Proficiency with network telemetry and analysis tools (Wireshark, SNMP, NetFlow, and Solarwinds) for deep packet inspection and network optimization. · 15+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree Core Competencies - Leadership · Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in distributed systems. · Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with development teams, operations, security, and other stakeholders. · Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead technical initiatives. · Mentorship: As a Senior role, the ability to guide and mentor junior engineers, share knowledge, and foster best practices. · Proactive & Ownership: Proactive approach to identifying and addressing
